At Dance Theater of New England, we are committed to the educational and creative needs of your child. Beginner through advanced, recreational or pre-professional, our Summer Dance and Theater program offers a comprehensive course of study that will give your child the opportunity for personal and artistic development.
Creative Movement - 3 year olds - This program for young children is designed to introduce basic classroom concepts in a fun imaginative way. Here students use music, manipulatives, props, and simple movements activities to develop gross motor skills, musical awareness, as well as social and listening skills. Class is closed with a story and a good-bye song to round out our happily ever after.

Young Dancers Program – 4 year olds -This program, we use nature and make believe to inspire gross and fine motor skills. Locomotor and non-locomotor movement is explored through our carefully planned syllabus. There is plenty of opportunity for self-expression and a chance to test artistic skills with a carefully planned craft project.

Dance Magic - 5 to 6.5 year olds - Half Day Program meets 5 days a week for a half day.
Foundational movement is taught through jazz, classical ballet, and folk dance models. Placement, classroom procedure and across the floor movement are introduced. Movement activities and arts and crafts projects round out every fun and innovative lesson. A small presentation and party are the highlight of the week's activities.

Ages 6-12 - This program is perfect for dancers currently enrolled in combination classes or for students with elementary to no ballet training. It gives young dancers the chance to delve into their favorite dance style while affording the opportunity to sample other less familiar styles and dance related subjects. Subjects include Classical Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Art, Creative Dance, Stage Makeup, Dance History, Nutrition, Musical Theater and Choreography.
Camp Participants are grouped according to age and ability so that all campers have a fulfilling social and artistic experience. Our small classes insure individual attention.
Tuition: $220.00 Full Day/$120.00 Half Day
July 4th week: $189.00
Intermediate - This all day program is appropriate for intermediate to advanced ballet and or jazz trained students. Our course of study includes 4 or more hours of dance daily as well as 3 or more master classes weekly. The core curriculum is ballet, modern and jazz based. Classes in Theater Arts, Hip Hop, Choreography, Dance, History, Nutrition, Lyrical Jazz and Pilates are also offered to round out the intellectual and artistic experience. Pointe work is also offered for qualified students.
Advanced Intensive - Take your technique to the next level in this week long advanced dance intensive. Our course of study will examine movement theory as it applies to classical, contemporary and modern dance styles. The core curriculum is ballet, modern and jazz. Workshops in perfect placement, pure legs, turn jump leap, advanced foot control, and core stability will also be conducted. Pointe work will be available for all qualified candidates. Learn the technical connection between ballet and modern/contemporary styles and make it work for you.
Tuition: $189.00
2011 Tuition is $65.00 for 4 week programs and $220.00 full day/$120.00 half day for the Recreational Dance Camp. The Intensive Dance Program is $189.00 per session. A $100.00/60.00 deposit is due at time of registration for the Recreational Dance Camp and Intensive Dance Programs. The balance of the tuition is due on or before July 1st. All deposits are non-refundable after June 1st. There will be no refunds for missed days or classes. Before and After Care and family discounts are available. The four day Session One Tuition: $189.00. This will be the only recreational session offer at this price point.
