About Us » Policies
Dance training is an acquired skill that, although fun and exciting, requires a certain amount of self-discipline, dedication and focus. Once a course of study has been chosen, we expect each student to work hard and maintain quiet, respectful behavior while in class and on the premises. Doing so will insure a positive atmosphere for all.

Absolutely no T-shirts, sweatpants, leg-warmers, sweaters, bandanas, or warm-up clothes are allowed in the classroom. Positively no jewelry, body or facial piercing allowed in the class, as they are dangerous to the wearer and their classmates. Please give attention to your personal hygiene as it makes the learning experience more enjoyable for everyone. Students not adhering to the grooming regulations will e asked to sit out.

All dance wear should modestly cover the abdomen and any support. Like any bathing suit, all leotards should be worn without undergarments. If you have any questions or special needs, feel free to speak to us anytime.
We are asking you to refrain from buying dance shoes from Walmart and Payless Shoes. This foot wear is excellent for dress-up but is inappropriate for dance class as the shoes are not made of leather and will not respond to the child’s movement. This is very frustrating to the student as well as the teacher. Also tap shoes from these discount stores release harmful aluminum filings into the air and are not safe for studio use. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
It is difficult for us to contact each family member personally regarding schedule changes, special events, or recital information. Therefore, monthly newsletters and periodical bulletins will be sent home with students or through the mail. Please do not hesitate to call the studio with any questions of concerns.
DTNE does not always follow the lead of the public schools when it comes to snow days and Monday Holidays, as we are open for most. We do, however, close for school vacations. During the beginning of the dance season, we will supply each family with a vacation schedule which will include all the need to know information. In case of inclement weather, please call the school for closing information

Dance requires a group effort and every absence affects the entire class! In the event of an absence, make-up classes are available. There are no deductions on monthly tuition due to absence of any sort.
